Between 2000 and 2025, I directed a select group of teens in a series of weekly drama skill- building sessions (voice, facial expressions, movement), performing from short scripts and creating group-devised works based on improvisation. We learnt how to present in front of a live audience, whilst exploring through a variety of performance styles, ensuring students are well-versed in performance terminology and concepts. The curriculum was designed to enable students to grow their performance tool kits from term to term, whilst building confidence through exposure to analytical and evaluative thinking through attendance at a curated array of live theatrical performances.
